State government administrator and academic administrator The Honorable Lucille Whipper (1928 - ) served as the organizer and director of Operation Catch-Up, the vice chairman of the Democratic Convention in 1972, a member of the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission, and the first African American administrator at the College of Charleston. Whipper was interviewed by The HistoryMakers on 2/1/2007, in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. This collection is comprised of the video footage of the interview.
